Module Board (Voice Board) – Replacement for Roland Jupiter 8

Faithful reproduction of the original Roland Jupiter-8 voice board, designed for long-term serviceability and compatibility.

The oscillator section is implemented 1:1 using through-hole components, preserving the original signal path and behavior. The remaining circuitry is realized using modern SMD components where appropriate.

Original filter ICs are used in the signal path, including IR3109 (low-pass) and BA662 (high-pass and resonance stage).

Due to the unavailability of the original Roland envelope generator IC, the envelope circuits are implemented using modern analog components. The resulting envelope shapes closely match the behavior of the original design.

Each board is pre-calibrated to approximately 80%. Tuning, offsets, PWM and FM are adjusted according to the original service manual. The filter section is aligned, but final adjustment within the instrument is required to match the characteristics of the existing voice boards.

Designed as a technically accurate and reliable replacement for original Jupiter-8 module boards.
